About Contessa

In Marcheno, in Valtrompia, the beating heart of the Italian arms tradition, Stefano Contessa started a small business in 1974 that operated in the field of precision mechanical small parts, making use of his professional skills. Over the years, his sons Alessandro and Andrea, who grew up in their father’s workshop, learned the secrets of the trade and the importance of carrying out workmanship to perfection. The imprinting given by their father allows them to produce mechanical parts of high precision and quality, combining tradition with technological innovation. In the early 2000s Contessa decided to use the experience gained by developing its own product with patented mechanics: thus Simple Black was born, the first line of supports for Contessa optics.

Ambition, stubbornness and endless hours of work have led a small family-run workshop to develop into a real company, competitive on a global level. Contessa is constantly evolving and expanding, always seeking improvement and innovation. Since December 2017 the company has moved to a new factory, where new high-tech machinery is used for production and quality control. Today it boasts an excellent range of products, known throughout the world for their quality, design and functionality.

Currently the company is made up of 15 employees with high technical skills in the arms sector and who are particularly attentive to respecting and sharing company values.
